About our founder
Our founder, Heather, is a lifelong, multidisciplinary artist; foremost, a visual artist, but with an art practice that has grown to include dance, song, and engagement in community, as maker of spaces for contemplation, connection, and creativity.
Her life’s work in visual arts has spanned a vibrant range of genres and mediums, from color-saturated figurative oil paintings, through symbolic expressions of inner life in collage and paint, to present day, depth-studies of the beauty, complexity, and intelligence of the natural lives of our regional Wisconsin ecosystems. Key to her work is attentive, curious, present moment observation, and trust in the process.
Gathering with others to create is one of her favorite things! Heather is an opportunity-maker of supportive, sanctuary spaces where participants are invited to listen within, embrace their innate creativity, and connect with their authentic voice and vision. Her teaching has been shaped by her training as a meditation teacher, a decade of facilitating freeform dance, and personal study and practice of process-based creating methods.
